Booking Representative (Mid Western Region)
Young Concert Artists seeks a proactive and ambitious individual with a love for classical music to join as Booking Representative (Mid-Western Region). The Booking Representative plays a pivotal role in advancing YCA's mission by working to secure a substantial number of engagements in the Mid-Western booking region, aligning with both organizational goals and the individual needs of our artists. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Artist Management & Booking, this position requires an aggressive and proactive approach to securing engagements for YCA artists.

The annual YCA Susan Wadsworth International Auditions draw the most exceptional young musicians from around the world for the chance to join the YCA roster and receive the YCA Jacobs Fellowship. This transformative three-year program propels musicians to new levels of artistic growth, offering a holistic combination of resources including comprehensive artist management, performance opportunities at top venues around the globe, and YCA-presented debut recitals in New York City and Washington, DC. YCA connects its artists to a far-reaching network, opening doors and fostering key relationships that fundamentally change the trajectory of their careers.
Job Duties to Include:
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with presenters, artistic directors, and conductors, securing a substantial number of engagements, achieving established goals and expectations.
- Participate in weekly and monthly booking meetings to track group and individual progress towards established booking goals and strategy.
- Engage in the strategic development of YCA's artist roster, ensuring we serve each artist's unique needs while advancing our broader mission.
- Represent YCA at key industry conferences and performances as needed/assigned, supporting both the organization's visibility and the artist's exposure.
- Assist with department-wide artist management initiatives and contribute to YCA's overall growth and success.
- Attend and provide logistical support for YCA events, including fundraising efforts, galas, auditions, and concerts, which may occasionally involve evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in booking, with a strong focus on classical music.
- Established network within the classical music community, including relationships with presenters, artistic directors, and other industry leaders.
- Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven with a track record of meeting and exceeding established goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting partnerships and create new opportunities for YCA artists.
- Familiarity with Overture Booking Agency Software or the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Collaborative team player with strong people skills.
- Experience in mentoring or teaching young artists is a plus.
This role is critical to YCA's ability to secure meaningful engagements for our artists and further our mission to enrich the classical music community. The Booking Representative must be a dynamic, results-oriented individual, capable of achieving established booking goals, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional communication skills and a passion for the arts. YCA is open to considering an eager entry level individual with a strong interest in gaining experience in the classical music business, as well as a more seasoned booking professional.
SALARY RANGE: $55,000 - $68,000
YCA benefits include health, dental, and vision, generous holiday and paid time off, and an employer-funded retirement plan.
YCA’s offices are located at 57th and Broadway in NYC. Our staff operates on a hybrid remote/in-office schedule. Occasional travel will be required for this position on an assigned basis.
